Chocolate Filled Puff Pastry Hearts
Frozen puff pastry is such an inexpensive and practical hack that can be used to make quite impressive desserts. I love how these chocolate filled heart pastries turned out. They are delicious and super easy to make. Try making them for Valentine’s Day. Here’s what you will need…
1 box of puff pastry
1 cup chocolate spread
heart-shaped cookie cutter
icing sugar (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Thaw puff pastry according to package directions
Unwrap one of the pastry sheet on a flat surface, but keep the parchment paper beneath it
Spread the chocolate spread evenly onto the sheet
Unroll the second sheet, remove it from the parchment paper and place it over the chocolate
Use the cookie cutters to cut out the hearts
Remove the excess pastry surrounding the heart cutouts
Gently transfer parchment paper with heart cutouts on a cookie sheet
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden
Sprinkle with icing sugar
